The procedure of TMD Therapy
At Borengasser Family Dental, our team of professionals will evaluate your TMD symptoms to determine the best course of treatment. We'll start by taking a comprehensive medical history and performing a physical exam of your jaw and surrounding muscles. We may also take X-rays or other imaging tests to evaluate your jaw's structure.
Our team will develop a personalized treatment plan to address your symptoms based on the evaluation. We may recommend combining treatments, including medications, relaxation techniques, and physical therapy. We may also recommend a bite splint or mouthguard to help alleviate teeth grinding and clenching.
If a bite problem causes your TMD, we may recommend dental restorations such as crowns or bridges to correct the problem. In some cases, orthodontic treatment may also be necessary to improve your bite.
Our team at Borengasser Family Dental will work with you throughout the TMD therapy process to ensure that you're comfortable and your symptoms are effectively managed.
